Beginners Gymnastics Classes

Our gymnastics program teaches kids to tumble, run, jump and twist through age-specific classes. Each session promotes movement skills, fine motor skills, tumbling skills and advanced gymnastics elements. Kids explore basic, intermediate and advanced tumbling and floor exercises, which also develops balance, coordination and upper body strength.

“I LOVE doing gymnastics at the Y! I’m 14 now, but started as a Tumble Bug when I was four. My best friend and I met in gymnastics – now we dance together at the Y too.”

Our branches help your child build confidence through gymnastics while building character through our core Y values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

Gymnasts who are ready to take their skills to the next level can get involved in advanced gymnastics where skills are perfected, but competition and winning are kept in healthy perspective.

Below is a list of our different gymnastics programs. These vary between branch, so we recommend always checking availability with your local branch.
