King David Parkour
Born in the Philippines but a US transplant from a very early age, King was involved in many sports growing up. His grandfather was a personal trainer for a famous Basketball team, so King was always around a healthy environment and fitness training was instilled in him from the beginning. Introduced to Parkour/Freerunning by a friend, King took naturally to the sport and was soon discovered by talent scouts via youtube videos that he starred in. This led to the opportunity of starring in MTV’s Ultimate Parkour Challenge and from there his professional career in the sport took shape. Throughout the past few years, King has been honing his athletic talents for independent films, music videos and video games, as well as tricking performances for clubs, schools and seminars.
A member of the World Freerunning and Parkour Federation, which is dedicated to the safe and respectful advancement of the Parkour movement throughout the world, King has paved the way for the safe indoor challenges, we at Platinum call Urban Gymnastics.
King’s vision for this program is about injury prevention, safety and fitness longevity. His aim is to be able to grow mentally and physically through movement in order to improve body mechanics and body awareness with the ultimate goal of excelling in all sports related activities. “As a trainer, I expect perfection from myself and my students, knowing that it will never be perfect but that the dedication and commitment are there.”
